Challenge

Large Mortgage Loans is one of the UK’s leading High Net Worth mortgage specialists – arranging finance for larger property purchases. They primarily focus on HNW mortgages ranging from £1 million onwards. The challenge was to build a new, high quality, attractive website for Large Mortgage Loans before initiating a new PPC campaign & SEO strategy. The old website was dated, non-functional and didn’t offer a good user experience. Assertive had to research the market and come up with designs that aligned with “high net worth” – this meant using a clean, sharp, modern design that substantiated the brands affinity with high net worth individuals & services.

The Goals

The Strategy

The strategy for Large Mortgage Loans was to create a website more in tune with a high net worth audience and to ensure that there was sufficient content for the end user and for ranking purposes.

The initial part of the strategy was to research other high net worth brands and to adopt design concepts. The second part of the strategy was to evaluate existing landing page data and user behaviour by segmenting in google analytics. Ascertaining behaviour flow and how people interacted with pages – we were able to use this data towards planning a new wireframe.

Following on from user behaviour and marketplace analysis – we produced concepts for the client, keeping in mind what really matters to HNW individuals.

We went through the design, sign off and build phase.

Once the website had been built, we worked with the client to produce new content to improve NLP / Topical coverage for SEO – keeping in mind what clients are looking for.

Once the website had new content and had been optimised (titles, descriptions, headings, schema, internal linking) – we began a PPC campaign to fuel initial leads. We then collected conversion data and focused primarily on optimising for more lucrative keywords in the high net worth financial sector.

We achieved position 1 in Google for a number of key searches including large mortgages.
