Challenge

There were numerous challenges to overcome. At the time there were issues with pre-existing content in decline or underperforming as well as a loss in marketshare on mattresses.

Whilst Emma was/is an established brand – they had various challenges to overcome re domain, rebranding & techincal.

  • Address lost traffic with an audit
  • Review pre-existing content strategy
  • Produce new content strategy
  • Techincal audit (pre/post migration)
  • Domain & marketplace research
  • Content production & brief generation

The Goals

  • Improve product sales through website
  • Recover traffic in key areas with supporting content
  • Improve conversion rate
  • Maintain organic post rebrand / migration
  • Better understand users / conversion funnel
  • Better understand affiliate site content strategies

The Strategy

Assertive worked with Emma on a number of different tasks, the overall strategy was to help identify pre-existing issues, identify opportunities, propose solutions & to help enact them.

Assertive helped to analyse the pre-existing site, marketplace & marketshare capitalisation, competitor gap analysis (keyword/content gap) & to review where Emma could do better.

Post audit – we provided recommendations and embarked on a content strategy to help support growth & to capitalise on untapped marketshare, this also involved looking at key mattress, bedding and home affiliate sites.

We supported with a UX/CRO review to help propose solutions and improvements to drive more conversions.

We also supported with the migration pre and post rebrand/domain name changes.
