About Fast Loan UK

Fast Loan UK is a UK short-term credit brand specialising in fast loans and short-term loans, operating in the heavily FCA-regulated high-cost short-term credit vertical with strict compliance and vulnerable customer protection requirements.

The Challenge

Short-term and fast loan SEO sits at the hardest end of YMYL, shaped by FCA regulation, vulnerable customer protection scrutiny, and Google's sustained tightening on E-E-A-T, content quality and link signals across financial services.

Sustained losses across both money pages and informational content were driven by algorithmic content quality pressure, AI Overview click absorption and underlying technical and trust weaknesses.

The strategic question was not just how to recover, but whether recovery was viable on this domain at all, requiring a forensic, evidence-led audit.

FCA authorisation, representative APR, affordability, vulnerable customer messaging and debt advice signposting all carried disproportionate weight.

The Solution

We delivered a deep-dive SEO audit structured specifically around the realities of short-term credit SEO, with content assessed against UK financial services YMYL benchmarks rather than generic content quality criteria.

Our Strategy

The strategy for Fast Loan UK was to reverse-engineer the loss trajectory to determine whether the issues were fixable on the existing domain or symptomatic of deeper, harder-to-reverse problems.

We started with a full GSC data extraction across domain and URL properties, processed through SEO Stack to enable segmented analysis by brand vs non-brand, by template, by product type and by query intent. Loss patterns were then mapped to the underlying technical, content and trust signal issues driving them.

The technical audit covered crawlability, indexation, rendering and Core Web Vitals on product, category and informational templates, with rendering checks comparing raw and rendered HTML to identify any product page suppression caused by JS-dependent content.

The content audit applied a UK financial services YMYL framework covering FCA disclosure, regulated language, risk warnings, vulnerable customer messaging, debt advice signposting and author and editorial trust signals.

The link audit assessed profile composition, accruement velocity, anchor distribution, source quality and historical risk exposure, all benchmarked against the realities of the short-term credit vertical.

The strategic layer assessed whether the combination of technical debt, content gaps, link profile risk and historical performance trajectory was recoverable on the existing domain, or whether a different strategic path would be more defensible long-term.

The Goals

  • Identify and quantify the drivers of money page traffic loss
  • Quantify informational content click loss including AI Overview impact
  • Cleanly segment brand vs non-brand performance and decline patterns
  • Audit technical, indexing, rendering and performance against money page requirements
  • Audit content against UK financial services YMYL and FCA expectations
  • Audit links against financial vertical risk and quality benchmarks
  • Provide a clear, evidence-based recommendation on recovery viability on the existing domain
  • Deliver a prioritised recovery roadmap if the existing domain was viable
  • Provide a defensible strategic alternative if it was not

SEO Strategies for Luxury Travel Brands

Affluent travellers face real decision fatigue when planning complex itineraries, and this fatigue pushes them toward highly structured queries instead: a full thought rather than a couple of keywords, something closer to "private Parisian townhouses with butler service" or "boutique hotels Amalfi Coast with private beach and concierge service."
