The Strategy

The Strategy for the Craft Irish Whiskey Co was based on creating a more functional, manageable website on WordPress – maintaining some existing transition effects and blending a new high end look and feel into the design.

Because the brand and product are high end, it was of ultra high importance to convey this in the websites look and feel. With Unlock Creative, Assertive worked to produce the new website – improving transition effects and working to make the website better from a core web vitals perspective – also making it easier for Google to crawl and index.

Landing pages were improved substantially – layout enhancements were applied based on historic user behaviour – understanding where people clicked, what they did and didn;t like, what they engaged with etc this was factored into the strategy.

Making the website faster, lighter and more premium looking – we were able to help increase lead throughput.

The website, being on WordPress, was easier for Google to index, and ultimately this helped to improve some organic positions.

Challenge

The challenge was to design and build a new website for the Craft Irish Whiskey Co. Because of the kinds of clientele buying the product, the website had to scream quality, high end look & feel and had to maintain key UX factors.

Assertive had to conduct research into end user behaviour before planning out the website, pages, content and transitional effects. The challenge ultimately was to generate more leads for their high end whiskey products.

  • Audit the existing website and gleam user data from landing pages to mobile touch points
  • Scope out functionality
  • Evaluate lead abandonment and factor into design
  • Produce new menu / transition effects
  • Produce high quality, crisp design without compromising too heavily on core web vitals
  • Plan the landing pages out

The Goals

  • Improve the design
  • Move the website from VUE.JS to WordPress
  • Improve Core Web Vitals
  • Increase Lead Throughput
  • Increase Organic Performance
  • Improve PPC Landing Page Performance

SEO for Manufacturers Explained

Historically, most manufacturers built their business on trade shows and referral networks, and those channels definitely still hold a lot of value. They matter for closing deals and doing in-person product demos because, at the end of the day, you rarely seal a large contract until the client gets a real feel for the product.
