The challenge was to help LOOT significantly increase student sign ups & to help more people transition away from other banks. LOOT operated in a highly competitive space making it far more challenging. Overall, we were commissioned to deliver SEO to help drive up new customers from the student community.

The Strategy

The strategy for LOOT was multifaceted. We had to take into consideration numerous things from banking and financial regulations through to the clients ability to implement changes. The first part of the strategy was to ascertain any historic keyword and conversion data. We used this to scope out potential keywords as well as long tail variants.

We conducted full scale research and analysis of the digital banking sector from app based searches to best / review / switching searches.

We create an SEO strategy that factored in a content and link building strategy. We then proceeded to create a content strategy that would help us cover banking research searches. This included content around student financial problems in the hope that student financial research on saving money, getting out of debt etc.

Working with the client – we provided them with full support in respect of technical SEO implementation and resolution. From here, we worked on an SEO testing strategy to identify key weighted factors in regards to user engagement and landing page performance.

Once content got into a steady flow and was deployed – we then transitioned into building links to internal pages, balancing anchor texts and helping to increase the number of keywords associated with the domain along with increased rankings, traffic and sign-ups.
