There are a number of reasons why you may need to delete a Facebook page, perhaps the business has closed down, or you simply want create one with a brand new strategy and target different followers.
Before you go ahead and delete your page, it’s useful to know that it is possible to alter the look of your page.
You can change the template and alter different features of the page. Templates can be selected for various purposes, including:
- Restaurants and cafes
- Video page
You can also turn on and off certain page features like: Reviews, community, shop, offers, posts, events and about.
In the “settings” section, click on the “Templates and Tabs” icon on the left hand side.
This will take you to the following page where you can select the features you want to appear on your page and change the template you are using:
If changing the template or altering certain features isn’t going to cut it and you still want to delete your page, then you’ll need to decide if you are going to use the Facebook app or Facebook website to delete it.
You can delete the page using the Facebook app on a mobile device, such as a mobile phone or iPad, and the Facebook website for a desktop computer or laptop.
Please note: Whichever format you are using, you need to be admin of a page in order to delete it.

Method #1 Deleting a Facebook Page using the Facebook website
If you are working from a laptop, then you will be using the Facebook website to remove your Facebook page.
Note: This may also be the preferred option when using an iPad. However, you will also be able to use the Facebook app method (below) on an iPad too.
1) Login to Facebook
Enter your login information to take you to your personal Facebook account. Remember you must be admin of the Facebook page in order to delete it!
2) Go to your list of pages.
You can go to your list of pages using the downwards arrow in the top right corner and then clicking “See more”. Or you can use the shortcut on the left hand side.
3) Select the page you want to delete.
Click on the page you want to delete to navigate to it.
4) Click on “settings”.
Click on the settings tab on the top right of the screen. This will take you to the following page. Make sure you are under “General” (top left of the screen).
5) Select “Remove Page” at the bottom of the page.
Scroll down to where it says “Remove page”, click on it and then click on “Permanently delete [Name of Facebook page]. You will then need to confirm the delete by clicking on “Delete”.
You will get a confirmation box where you will need to click “OK”.

Here, we answer the question: How do I delete a business page on Facebook Mobile?
1)Login to Facebook
Login to your personal Facebook account with your username and password.
2) Tap ☰ on your iPhone or Android device.
Then tap the name of the business page you would like to delete. If you don’t see it immediately, click “see all”, and then the name of the business page.
3) Click on the “…” button.
The “…” button is in the top-right corner of your mobile screen.
4) Hit “Edit settings”.
Select “Edit settings”. This should appear near the top of the pop-up menu.
5) Click on “General”.
It is at the top of the “settings” page.
5) Scroll down and delete page.
Scroll down and then select the “Delete [page name]” button.
6) Confirm delete.
Facebook will ask you if you are sure you want to delete the page. You’ll then need to hit “Delete Page” button.
Once you have pressed this button, you will have 2 weeks (14 days) to change your mind before the page is permanently deleted.
