What does our SEO involve?


Our SEO approach is quite unique, and involves a series of stages which have been formed from years of trial, research and feedback from clients in relation to the service they receive. We give each client a high level of dedication and will work around client requirements to deliver a high return on investment.

Our SEO involves stages which work back to back from the initial website auditing, through to on-site analysis and implementation, off-site link development, social media and link baiting and monthly reporting and insights.

A basic overview of the SEO campaign structure is as follows:

Stage 1: Initial Website Auditing / Client Liaison & Face to Face Meetings


This stage involves the Assertive-Media team analysing your current website, it's SEO profile, how your website performs, who your competitors are and your target markets. We generate an easy to read SEO audit/report which highlights information surrounding SEO compliancy issues which covers everything from on-site elements to off-site linking activity.

The reports are delivered to the client, at which point a meeting is arranged so that the proposed campaign can be discussed. Assertive-Media will generate an SEO campaign overview with targets, key campaign data, competitor data and more.

Stage 2: Complete Website Auditing (On-Site, Off-Site and Social/Content)


Assertive-Media will conduct a thorough and in-depth website audit which will feature all SEO factors & compliancy measures and a complete profile of the website including all detected issues. All on-site and off-site elements will be inspected and reported, alongside content profiling, link profiling, competitor profiling and market profiling.

The audit will set the foundations of the campaign and will provide all the necessary work required to amend the website. This stage will amend all com-pliancy issues, and will also set the foundations for website content and social activity.

Once the reporting is complete, the client will be provided with a copy of the report. Another face to face meeting or a conference call is usually needed to discuss the next steps.

Stage 3: Keyword Research & Market / Trend Analysis


Keyword research is vital for ALL SEO campaigns. Assertive-Media will identify keywords best suited for the client's target markets. This stage requires in-depth product/service research to formulate the most suitable keywords. During this research stage, competitor keyword analysis is also carried out to understand how the keywords work and the type of traffic that they generate.

A report will be generated for this stage and will be presented to the client. This will involve various phone calls and potential for face to face meetings to finalise a keyword group for the campaign.


Stage 4: Implementation of Website Amendments / Compliancy Fixes


This stage involves the implementation of repairs and amendments to the clients website based upon the website audit from Stage 2. This work can be carried out by Assertive-Media or by in-house developers client side. This stage covers all on-site changes and will also cover content amendments and recommendations for on-going and future content.

We can provide full support on-site or remotely for this stage to ensure all work is carried out in a compliant manner and that the finished work meets the requirements highlighted within the report.

The keywords from Stage 3 will be carefully integrated into the website around correctly placed content which would be of high relevance. We recommend that the client produces new content for keywords if there is not enough existing content themed around them.

Stage 5: Website SEO Re-Review


Assertive-Media will conduct a re-review of the websites SEO profile to ensure full compliancy. This will examine all aspects of the website including its content profile, keyword relevancy, structure & more. Once we are satisfied that the website meets the standards set the next stage can begin.

Stage 6: Off-Site Link Development, Management & Social Media Configuration


At this stage, the client website will be ready for the integration of social media services. This will include the addition of social media features providing the client website permits it. The integration of social media will allow for better connectivity with website audience and will count towards the websites SEO profile.

Alongside social media efforts will come organic link development through the creation of high quality content. The bait used to acquire high quality links will involve a multitude of options depending on the client website theme. These processes can involve the creation of useful lists, guides, recommendations, tools, video or even viral media.

All link activity will be tracked as part of the on-going SEO procedure and will be included in monthly reporting. Assertive-Media will work with the client to create and promote content and media to acquire new links and enhanced social activity which will contribute towards search success in major search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing.

We will provide full guidance and recommendations on link development tactics and will not advocate the use of paid links or underhanded methods to acquire new links. Our SEO model conforms to ALL guidelines from Google Webmaster Tools and large SEO communities including SEOMoz, SERoundtable, Search Engine Land & more.

Stage 7: Website Benchmarking & SEO Reporting Configuration


At this stage, the websites positions will be benchmarked and alongside this, the SEO report delivery will be configured around the clients requirements. Our SEO reports can be provided as frequently as fortnightly. Our SEO reports include ranking reports, analytical data such as website traffic, revenue, traffic sources etc. and link data/activity.

The SEO reports cover rankings, analytics data and link data for the client website alongside competitor website data. Our reports go far beyond conventional ranking reports and provides full in-depth information about position movements.

Stage 8: On going SEO, Content Creation & Promotion & SEO Reporting


This stage will involve the maintenance of the websites profile as well as creating content for promotion through social media and organic search. Assertive-Media will work with the client to produce new content based on trend analysis, typical visitor demand in the given market sectors & more. Whilst this on-going SEO campaign is in place, SEO reports will frequently be updated for client review.
